Panama's Abraham Alguacil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ismael Leocadio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Victor Stan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Matbaa Spor's Ismael Leocadio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 43rd minute, Enis Behiç Ünsaç made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The Panama players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Matbaa Spor were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Stan made a kick off. Enis Behiç Ünsaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. The supporters of Panama booed when Matbaa Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armağan Bekdemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Alguacil, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Stan. Ismael Leocadio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Ismael Leocadio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 82nd minute of play. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Matbaa Spor's Olaf Wnukowski got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After 96 minutes of play, Panama's Miguel Miralles made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Leocadio was left in no man's land by his defense there!
