Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Domingos Tristan 7 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Oberá's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Damián Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Oberá defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damián Martínez. The Oberá fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damián Martínez should have stopped the shot. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Damián Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Ur in the 19th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Oberá's Damián Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Cresencio in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Oberá's Alberto Cresencio got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damián Martínez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Oberá's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damián Martínez came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the game, Domingos Tristan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Domingos Tristan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Cresencio to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Oberá's Erland Gåsland got a free kick in the 55th minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damián Martínez having to interfere. When Oberá's Alberto Cresencio in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. In the 65th minute, Oberá's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Patricio Costa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 68 minutes into the match, Oberá's goalkeeper Damián Martínez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. If Niculae Udroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Oberá's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damián Martínez came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yao Peng during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Oberá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yao Peng to maneuver through the defense. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Damián Martínez made a huge save. The corner led Venezuela's Jose Correa to fire away a dangerous shot which Damián Martínez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
