If Çağatay Saatçioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Alcocer's late challenge caught a CaPLooNBa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 32 played minutes CaPLooNBa got a freekick which was hit by Özer Tanacan. Çağatay Saatçioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Axel Tasis in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bahadır Tuncel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 46thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CaPLooNBa's Bahadır Tuncel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Alexander Carballo put in a rough tackle. Alexander Carballo hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Çağatay Saatçioğlu in the 58th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. Costa Rica:s Benito Sanz showed great skill when he stopped Çağatay Saatçioğlu:s penalty. 72 minutes into the game, Juan Rubio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CaPLooNBa the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a CaPLooNBa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. CaPLooNBa's Ertunc Bahadir quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Efrain Moruga, made in the 90th minute of the game. CaPLooNBa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
