In the 24th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Rosario in the 29th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dante Lacasa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 89th minute C. S. D. Pueyrredón were awarded a corner. Constantino Ermano went to the cornerflag to take it. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
