Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Braaby in the 37th minute of play. Lanzenkirchen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicolai Nowak in the 39th minute. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Efraim Gilabert could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Karl-Åke Brummer however easily saved by the left post. Efraim Gilabert came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Karl-Åke Brummer could save by the left post. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucjan Bejger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roque Claus made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Patrick Braaby managed to get in a good position for a shot. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Noboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Karl-Åke Brummer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Karl-Åke Brummer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Lucjan Bejger came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Åke Brummer having to interfere.
