An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play forced Balus Treter's goalkeeper Karsten Zielinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Balus Treter's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Karsten Zielinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Gottlieb Hammer tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karsten Zielinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gottlieb Hammer made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Balus Treter's Lukas Prielhofer got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Gottlieb Hammer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gottlieb Hammer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gottlieb Hammer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Balus Treter's Karsten Zielinski got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Karsten Zielinski made a huge save. Vilhelm Trulsson kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 79th minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Agustín Saelices as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balus Treter's goalkeeper Karsten Zielinski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabio Bischoff lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gottlieb Hammer, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Karsten Zielinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Balus Treter's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Balus Treter succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
