Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Academia FC's zone, Isidoro Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Etxeberri came out of the goal and Isidoro Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 played minutes Academia FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Martxot. 18 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angel Etxeberri. Academia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Berganza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 22nd minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angel Etxeberri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Argider in the 28th minute of play. Angel Etxeberri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd match minute, Academia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Isidor to maneuver through the defense. Abraham Alguacil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Etxeberri having to interfere. Academia FC's Angel Etxeberri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Academia FC's Jorge Martxot got a free kick in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Angel Etxeberri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximo Gau during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Academia FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Maximo Gau hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Marcelino Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Batista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Panama were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Martxot to make the kick off. Angel Etxeberri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Carita in the 53rd minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Angel Etxeberri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Nicholas in the 67th minute of the match. Uriel Isidor kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Sarmiento got free with Angel Etxeberri in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. 82 minutes into the game, Agustin Basso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. Agustin Basso hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes, Panama's Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Angel Etxeberri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panama reached it. 84 minutes into the game, Isidoro Sarmiento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angel Etxeberri. Isidoro Sarmiento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Delmiro Quico was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Angel Etxeberri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Angel Etxeberri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Academia FC.
