Aaron McPhedran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. After some careless play in the Bolivia defense, Aaron McPhedran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Freixa. The Bolivia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Freixa should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Pure dead brilliant team's Gary Caddell got a free kick in the 25th minute. Aaron McPhedran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Camilo Freixa made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. Aaron McPhedran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bolivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pure dead brilliant team the free kick. After 73 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Gallo. After 76 minutes, Max McIvor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pure dead brilliant team and the Bolivia players grew even worse after the yellow card.
