Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Victorino Peake started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Serbülent Baysan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Mancebo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Maximino Astudillo sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Baumar Ontanilla dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Serbülent Baysan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serbülent Baysan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serbülent Baysan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serbülent Baysan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serbülent Baysan. Serbülent Baysan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Facundo Cadaval's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serbülent Baysan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serbülent Baysan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led to Mexico's Luca Zorita getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Serbülent Baysan however easily saved by the left post. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luca Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Eufemio Ehijo was substituted for Vitaliy Fedchenko. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Felix Txilar was substituted for Maximino Astudillo. FC Anderlecht Huachipato made a substitution. Alberto-Federico Acosta replaced Baumar Ontanilla. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Serbülent Baysan made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Serbülent Baysan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Serbülent Baysan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 84th minute of the match. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mexico played a much better game than FC Anderlecht Huachipato and deserved their victory. The FC Anderlecht Huachipato players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
