Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute, Delmiro Quico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angel Etxeberri. Academia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angel Etxeberri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 8th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Batista in the 22nd minute of play. Jorge Martxot received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorge Martxot slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Martxot came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Angel Etxeberri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmiro Quico hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The supporters of Academia FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Nicholas in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Academia FC's Marcelino Batista got a free kick in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Jorge Martxot made the kick off in the second half. Angel Etxeberri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 51st minute of the match. Angel Etxeberri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 59th minute of play. Academia FC's Angel Etxeberri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Academia FC from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Martxot in the 68th minute of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angel Etxeberri. Patricio Costa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 84th minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Angel Etxeberri. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 89th minute Jorge Martxot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Angel Etxeberri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Academia FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Angel Etxeberri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Venezuela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Academia FC throughout the match.
