Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maxi Rodríguez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Abelardo Berenguer threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 16th play minute Alberto Tafalla came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Abelardo Berenguer. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juli Álvarez in the 19th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Berenguer. That made the score 2-1 after 22 minutes of play. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Abelardo Berenguer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Benino in the 31st minute of play. If Maxi Rodríguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Berenguer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th match minute, Atlético y Tiro Rqta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hu Fei Hai to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Berenguer having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Luca Rouco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mexico and the Atlético y Tiro Rqta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

51 minutes into the match, Atlético y Tiro Rqta's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Abelardo Berenguer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maxi Rodríguez got in the 53rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dante Lacasa handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juli Álvarez in the 54th minute of play. Abelardo Berenguer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 57th minute of the match. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 59th minute. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético y Tiro Rqta's Abelardo Berenguer did a great save. Abelardo Berenguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Severino Benino took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 74th minute of play forced Atlético y Tiro Rqta's goalkeeper Abelardo Berenguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute of the match, Severino Benino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Atlético y Tiro Rqta's Abelardo Berenguer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 77th minute of play. Hu Fei Hai charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hu Fei Hai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hu Fei Hai hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Maxi Rodríguez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Lucas Suárez hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Juli Álvarez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
