With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lauras Normantas in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. FC Alytus United's Daugirdas Burokas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 9th minute of play. Daugirdas Burokas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 20th minute. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 31 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Daugirdas Burokas. FC Alytus United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauras Normantas in the 37th minute of play. Tauras Wijnaldum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felix Garrido the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chile protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felix Garrido had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave FC Alytus United a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Deividas Mencendorfs, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chile's Thiago Pliego. 3-1. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Regimantas Šileikis, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Casaus in the 64th minute of play forced FC Alytus United's goalkeeper Daugirdas Burokas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Thiago Pliego managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when FC Alytus United's Lauras Normantas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Daugirdas Burokas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 69th minute of play. Daugirdas Burokas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Lauras Normantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
