Florencio Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Linqvist came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 7th minute of play forced SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's goalkeeper Florencio Cutberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's goalie prevented a goal. After 7 minutes, Julian Murillo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's Florencio Cutberto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Valeryan Bochkin hit a great ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Signoretti in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Gilbert Godefroid sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Signoretti came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mats Linqvist scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's attentive Ariel Bautista managed to snatch the ball when Moises Gayoso made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florencio Cutberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Mats Linqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florencio Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's Valeryan Bochkin got a free kick in the 40th minute. After 43 played minutes SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Bautista. 44 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florencio Cutberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Felipe Olivar hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Florencio Cutberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Peru got a corner. SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Florencio Cutberto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's Florencio Cutberto got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florencio Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Linqvist in the 63rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Luz Tejedor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Florencio Cutberto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Cutberto came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florencio Cutberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 69th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Godefroid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Godefroid in the 72nd minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Linqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florencio Cutberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Florencio Cutberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Linqvist came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florencio Cutberto was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Rafael Gallo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rafael Gallo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. With a little luck, SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's Florencio Cutberto got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
