An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Clarke in the 19th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Hai Duong's Marcos Cotilla threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arthur Clarke, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Arthur Clarke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Arthur Clarke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zumar Villabonas short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Marcos Cotilla to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hai Duong's Osman Şenel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 36th minute of play. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Hai Duong's Marcos Cotilla threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zumar Villabona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 40 minutes into the game, Zumar Villabona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 43rd minute of play forced Hai Duong's goalkeeper Osman Şenel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hai Duong's goalkeeper Osman Şenel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zumar Villabona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Huỳnh Mai hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Clarke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Clarke, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hai Duong's Zumar Villabona. But to his dismay, Zumar Villabona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Arthur Clarke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Clarke in the 70th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes Panama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Đặng Hanh who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Hai Duong's Huỳnh Mai getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Arthur Clarke scored 6-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Clarke in the 79th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Huỳnh Mai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Cambeiro got free with Osman Şenel in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Huỳnh Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Huỳnh Mai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zumar Villabona in the 96th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
