Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Lorencio Abasalo hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Xabat Diaz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celtistas were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xicu Abascal took the corner. After taking down the ball on Celtistas's corner Xicu Abascal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Rodney Marines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nabucodonosor Campomanes in the 29th minute of play. When Lamberto Abajas fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celtistas's protests and gave Lamberto Abajas a yellow card for diving instead. Celtistas's Rodney Marines proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Celtistas from getting a goal against them. After 46 minutes, Xabat Diaz made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nabucodonosor Campomanes to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko Ferrer in the 53rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Nabucodonosor Campomanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kiko Ferrer in the 93rd minute. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodney Marines. Rodney Marines dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
