Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alan Tamayo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Bartolo Nuno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartolo Nuno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Lacasa to maneuver through the defense. After 17 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Alan Tamayo. Primitivo Fernanco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Casaus in the 19th minute. When Orlando Casaus, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 20 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Primitivo Fernanco was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Primitivo Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 21st minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Nuno in the 32nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Ladislao Bertran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Alan Tamayo. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lázaro Kismi hit a great ball. A hard shot by Mariano Lacasa from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Primitivo Fernanco's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 43 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Primitivo Fernanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. 45 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Primitivo Fernanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lázaro Kismi's late challenge caught a Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lázaro Kismi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Lázaro Kismi hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 57th minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primitivo Fernanco came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 61st minute, Samuel Emesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boca Juniors made a substitution. Epifanio Medardo replaced Samuel Emesto. Boca Juniors's Maximo Bordat was substituted for Bartolo Nuno. The supporters of Chile booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Emesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Pepito Santalla got a free kick in the 70th minute. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Epifanio Medardo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Maximo Bordat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Boca Juniors's Primitivo Fernanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 89th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Primitivo Fernanco saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Chile players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
