Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionel Gâlcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Luca Rouco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ionică Corcoveanu quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yin Li Ying in the 26th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Yin Li Ying shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, Eintracht Cernavoda's Yin Li Ying made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Isak, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute, Ionel Gâlcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ionică Corcoveanu was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionică Corcoveanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Philip Walter kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Isak in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Eintracht Cernavoda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionel Gâlcă to maneuver through the defense. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yin Li Ying took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 65th minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 68th minute of play forced Eintracht Cernavoda's goalkeeper Ionică Corcoveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Costin Teodoreanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionică Corcoveanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ioan Ortacu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionică Corcoveanu having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ionică Corcoveanu. Eintracht Cernavoda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 91 minutes into the match, Eintracht Cernavoda's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Ionică Corcoveanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Mexico supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Eintracht Cernavoda's performance. The match ended with a win for Eintracht Cernavoda.
