Godfredo Nuñez scored 2-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Godfredo Nuñez came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfredo Nuñez couldn't finish the play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Nuñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erasmo Jago was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's players had a chance to rest. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Erasmo Jago was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 48 minutes into the game, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Godfredo Nuñez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Godfredo Nuñez to make the kick off. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Nuñez in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo were awarded a corner. Erasmo Jago went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Cristian Romero managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Nikola in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Aureliano Negro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ignacio Mastache received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Serafin Bernal came out and tried to block the shot, but Ignacio Mastache slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 73rd minute. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Nikola, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Aureliano Negro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Nikola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute Wilfredo Nikola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 84th minute of the match. 6-3 became the score in the 89th minute when Wilfredo Nikola elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 94 minutes of play, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Wilfredo Nikola made it 7-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Negro in the 97th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Nikola in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
