After taking down the ball on Gelp 22's corner Cheng Liang Cheng fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcos Cotilla quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Gelp 22 booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Carita didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Panama's Aaron Barrios got a free kick in the 12th minute. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jaime Laurin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavio Fonticoba in the 61st minute. Jaime Laurin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 66th minute of play.
