When Maximiliano Naelio came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Platense es de Primera!! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Naelio couldn't finish the play. Olivér Khan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 27 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maximiliano Naelio who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Maximiliano Naelio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 30th minute. Maximiliano Naelio might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximiliano Naelio ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olivér Khan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Platense es de Primera!!'s Maximiliano Naelio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Inocente in the 71st minute of play. In the 71st minute, Moises Inocente left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Platense es de Primera!! fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Henrique de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the game, Moises Inocente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute, Froilan Florinio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 94 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Olivér Khan managed to make a qualified save. Platense es de Primera!!'s players were relieved. After 95 played minutes Platense es de Primera!! got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Hanni. Platense es de Primera!!'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
