But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leron Sale couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Philip MacDonald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Demonde Jacobson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee ignored Las Lomas Las's protests and gave Philip MacDonald a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Las Lomas Las getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. After a rather tough play, Las Lomas Las's Ivan Roche got a free kick in the 35th minute. When Cole Brannon fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Darrel Reese made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Romon Oliver sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, Las Lomas Las's goal looked a bit too open when Finlay Stair came free, but Darrel Reese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Las Lomas Las got a freekick which was hit by Brian McCall. In the 42nd minute, Jarell Hill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Finlay Stair left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jamaica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benny Brown stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benny Brown could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Demonde Jacobson made a huge save. 53 minutes into the game, Romon Oliver cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Darrel Reese was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romon Oliver struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Darrel Reese didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamaica. In the 88th minute Benny Brown shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Las Lomas Las's Benny Brown got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benny Brown could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Demonde Jacobson made a huge save. 96 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philip MacDonald.
