Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Pavel Denisov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Балтика -95 Калининград fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Camilo Gaos's late challenge caught a Балтика -95 Калининград's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Балтика -95 Калининград booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position.
