Paulin Sequeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 7th minute of play. Gordon Suarez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Servando Ariztimuño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Servando Ariztimuño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Gordon Suarez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gordon Suarez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 20 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Navarro. After having played for 21 minutes, Giraldo Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanadio F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Giraldo Bermudez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Vanadio F.C. getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Errapel Hernando hit a great ball. Paulin Sequeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paulin Sequeiros, 1-1. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordon Suarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Gordon Suarez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bekir Çağan, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Paulin Sequeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 40th minute of play. After 41 minutes Vanadio F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Colombia's corner Axel Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulin Sequeiros quite easily take care of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 52nd match minute, Vanadio F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janari Hinn to maneuver through the defense. Janari Hinn kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Janari Hinn hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute of the match Antonio Indiano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulin Sequeiros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leizarraga Olmedo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulin Sequeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leizarraga Olmedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Leizarraga Olmedo came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Orlando Tafalla fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombia's protests and gave Orlando Tafalla a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Tafalla. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gordon Suarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulin Sequeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harkaitz Arevalo in the 79th minute of the match. If Harkaitz Arevalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulin Sequeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Tafalla hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Kevin Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes, Leizarraga Olmedo made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Vanadio F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
