With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tim Brenner in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. After 9 played minutes PacMan SugarEaters got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Emil Carlsson. In the 10th minute, Lautaro Puig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by PacMan SugarEaters's Tim Brenner. But to his dismay, Tim Brenner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 18 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. Tim Brenner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Brenner in the 26th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jan Lind who took care of the corner kick. Hugo Ferrant tried in the game's 28th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Benito Sanz. An annoying self made goal, 2-1. Nils-Emil Carlsson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Nils-Emil Carlsson hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. A hard and well directed shot from Axel Tasis led 41 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. PacMan SugarEaters's Kenny Ugla became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 3-2. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Brenner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tim Brenner was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, PacMan SugarEaters's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lautaro Puig fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Lautaro Puig came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Puig couldn't finish the play. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Pankracy Ferfecki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PacMan SugarEaters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pankracy Ferfecki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute, Jan Lind had to leave the field with a concussion. PacMan SugarEaters made a substitution. Gösta Uter replaced Jan Lind. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Alebeck in the 67th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the PacMan SugarEaters players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
