The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Efraim Gilabert put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Peru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Gustavo FPRMZ:s goal. Peru:s Rolando Noboa showed great skill when he stopped Júlio Saraiva:s penalty. Júlio Saraiva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolando Noboa came out and tried to block the shot, but Júlio Saraiva slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Joaquin Prats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonard Olejasz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, FC Gustavo FPRMZ's Semi Yaltır dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Leonard Olejasz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. FC Gustavo FPRMZ were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Agostinho Moraes took the corner. The supporters of Peru booed when FC Gustavo FPRMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonard Olejasz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Semi Yaltır got free with Rolando Noboa in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Saraiva in the 37th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Olejasz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 39th minute of play. Luz Tejedor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Olejasz having to interfere. Elivélton do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luz Tejedor made a kick off. Luz Tejedor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Olejasz having to interfere. Elivélton do Nascimento hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes FC Gustavo FPRMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Eliseo Mina did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Leonard Olejasz 71 minutes into the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milagros Fraga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Luiz Fabiano Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Leonard Olejasz in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aníbal Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. A collision led to FC Gustavo FPRMZ getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Aníbal Vidal hit a great ball. Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC Gustavo FPRMZ had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
