In the 24th minute Kanuni-Sultan Süleyman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Red City Marrakech getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Talal Dadi hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopold Teurfs went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Nils-Åke Glanselius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kanuni-Sultan Süleyman in the 40th minute of the match. Grzegorz Sitko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 42nd minute of the match. Grzegorz Sitko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leopold Teurfs was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopold Teurfs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kanuni-Sultan Süleyman in the 58th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Grzegorz Sitko in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Red City Marrakech booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopold Teurfs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball.
