Paiboon Permpol made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. The Sheffield FC1857 fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Sheffield FC1857's Kachakon Vibulpan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 64th minute of the game Sontaya Peerapattana made a throw-in which Thiradet Jutaviriya played forward. In the 66th match minute, Sheffield FC1857 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sontaya Peerapattana to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gavril Stejaru in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sumethee Kanishthajata's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sheffield FC1857's Sumethee Kanishthajata got a free kick in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavril Stejaru. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sayan Kitiwinit in the 97th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Sheffield FC1857 were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Uruguay side.
