Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dean Verbruggen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Maarten Colen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, MVV Maastricht's Maarten Colen got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Tomas Berganza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Berganza's late challenge caught a MVV Maastricht's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Berganza helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Berganza. In the 29th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Ros to maneuver through the defense. Dean Verbruggen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 35 minutes, Gilbert Fleur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MVV Maastricht's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Fleur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dean Verbruggen came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathijs de Zee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The MVV Maastricht players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 0-3.

In the 56th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Fleur, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Mathijs de Zee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dean Verbruggen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Dean Verbruggen made a huge save. In the 74th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Verbruggen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Verbruggen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Fleur in the 78th minute of play. Isidoro Sarmiento's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Dean Verbruggen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ernst van Bommel kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. MVV Maastricht's Dean Verbruggen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 84th minute of play. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by MVV Maastricht's Mathijs de Zee. But to his dismay, Mathijs de Zee quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MVV Maastricht.
