Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edmundo Espiga took the kick off in the first half of the match. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute, Maarten Colen made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, MVV Maastricht's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Dean Verbruggen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dean Verbruggen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Maurits Ruben stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Maurits Ruben tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 played minutes MVV Maastricht got a freekick which was hit by Ricky Mol. MVV Maastricht's Dean Verbruggen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Espinar in the 24th minute of play. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 31st match minute, MVV Maastricht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Fleur to maneuver through the defense. Dean Verbruggen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Hans Roelofsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dean Verbruggen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Tafalla in the 37th minute of the match. Dean Verbruggen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Edmundo Espiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 44 minutes into the match, MVV Maastricht's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Dean Verbruggen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dean Verbruggen saved MVV Maastricht from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maarten Colen to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Maarten Colen notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MVV Maastricht's Dean Verbruggen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Carvallo in the 57th minute of play. Dean Verbruggen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Dean Verbruggen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 61st minute of the match, Edmundo Espiga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dean Verbruggen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dean Verbruggen made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Dean Verbruggen. MVV Maastricht's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. After a defensive mix-up in MVV Maastricht's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dean Verbruggen came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfred Oss kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Gilbert Fleur hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Dean Verbruggen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 92 in the game by Edmundo Espiga from a close distance when the talented Dean Verbruggen managed to make a qualified save. MVV Maastricht's players were relieved.
