The supporters of American Airlines booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Fontirroig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Fernandino kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Franklin in the 10th minute of play forced Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Chicote hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Fernandino during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mario Fernandino hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Alfonso de la Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 19 played minutes American Airlines got a freekick which was hit by Carson Aguilar. After 23 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Fontirroig. Camilo Freixa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carson Aguilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 32 minutes, Eduardo Fontirroig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Fontirroig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clark Holloway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Andy Franklin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. American Airlines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Franklin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clark Holloway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. After the first half American Airlines were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clark Holloway was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Jarod Haskins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Bolivia's Mario Fernandino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 59 minutes into the game, American Airlines's Clark Holloway nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Freixa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Camilo Freixa made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Clark Holloway sent off a good shot on target. Carson Aguilar kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Eduardo Fontirroig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clark Holloway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Esteves in the 79th minute of play. If Julio Chicote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eduardo Fontirroig took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chase Erwin. Chase Erwin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Francisco Gallo got a free kick in the 88th minute. Alfonso de la Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Chase Erwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Esteves in the 93rd minute of play. After 93 minutes, Alfonso de la Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bolivia and the American Airlines players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Bolivia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching American Airlines's performance. The match ended with a win for American Airlines.
