Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. In the 7th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Prunaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FC MCM's Viktor Axelsson in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. FC MCM's Viktor Axelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC MCM's Călin Prunaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save FC MCM from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute, Cristi Maniu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 25th minute. FC MCM's Călin Prunaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save FC MCM from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Cătălin Agulescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Călin Prunaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 35th minute of play. Adrian Isbășoiu took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Călin Prunaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viktor Axelsson to make the kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC MCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Ciolofan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Călin Prunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vali Cârnu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. After 86 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristi Maniu who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FC MCM's Cristi Maniu to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vali Cârnu in the 92nd minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Cârnu in the 95th minute of play. Although Ecuador had been in control for most of the match, FC MCM still came away with the win.
