A collision led to Union Y Progreso F.C. getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Sanchez Mendecute hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Meruendano came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute Santiago Meruendano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Vedat Çelikyay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Union Y Progreso F.C.'s Pan Zheng Li got a free kick in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Vedat Çelikyay. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 24 minutes, León Rapela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Union Y Progreso F.C. and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Union Y Progreso F.C.'s León Rapela got a free kick in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeng Ting Xing got free with Thiago Pliego in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Meruendano in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig got a free kick in the 34th minute. Zeng Ting Xings short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Thiago Pliego to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Zeng Ting Xing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Sueiro in the 46th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Meruendano in the 57th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Zeng Ting Xing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Chile's Pedro Indiano got a free kick in the 61st minute. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s Fabio Cordarell couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Chile. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s Ali Vedat Çelikyay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 69th minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Union Y Progreso F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by León Rapela to maneuver through the defense. Zeng Ting Xing took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 82nd minute Zeng Ting Xing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 92nd minute, Guillermo Fontirroig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeng Ting Xing in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. The Chile players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Union Y Progreso F.C. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
