Seyhun Kuman hit a great ball. Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Fernandino in the 12th minute of play. After 16 played minutes FC GG got a freekick which was hit by Necat Tanfer. Mario Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Alfredo Ferrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Samir Şafakoğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Camilo Freixa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Mario Fernandino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Seyhun Kuman kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Necat Tanfer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Temel Okhan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Freixa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Alfonso de la Cruz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 40th minute, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 46th minute Samir Şafakoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute Mario Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bektaş Ali Tolun charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
