When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Monty Rogers sped through San Felice a Ema U.L.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruno Antognoni. Bruno Antognoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cassius Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Antognoni having to interfere. San Felice a Ema U.L.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Paşa Corre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Antognoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Bruno Antognoni in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Bruno Antognoni successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bruno Antognoni came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Monty Rogers. But to his dismay, Monty Rogers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. San Felice a Ema U.L.'s Daniele Banana was substituted for Patrick Donnellson. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. 70 minutes into the game, Jenson Smith threw the ball into play from the sideline. San Felice a Ema U.L.'s A.J. R. Hansen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from A.J. R. Hansen in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Bruno Antognoni made a huge save. Bruno Antognoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Campbell in the 80th minute of the match. Sam Campbell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Bruno Antognoni when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from A.J. R. Hansen, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Campbell got free with Bruno Antognoni in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when A.J. R. Hansen came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to San Felice a Ema U.L. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Bruno Antognoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalid Parry in the 94th minute of play. San Felice a Ema U.L.'s Giovanni Garro got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paşa Corre kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. USA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
