An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Zgrăbunţa in the 4th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Visen Allu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Piedra made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute Sem Barang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sem Barang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerónimo Molina in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Visen Allu came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergiu Zgrăbunţa might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Day. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sergiu Zgrăbunţa ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sem Barang, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. USA's Edward Mcdonald got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sem Barang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerónimo Molina in the 32nd minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerónimo Molina to make the kick off. In the 50th minute of the match, Sem Barang got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marco Day was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Cassius Byrne hit a great ball. After some careless play in the USA defense, Gerónimo Molina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. Visen Allu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Altermundi FC's Justo Zubicueta was substituted for Visen Allu. Thanks to some nice moves Sem Barang could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Marco Day however easily saved by the left post. In the 74th minute Altermundi FC were awarded a corner. Pedro Reyes went to the cornerflag to take it. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Sem Barang sent off a good shot on target. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sem Barang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 78 minutes, Sam Campbell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sam Campbell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute Justo Zubicueta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jenson Smith might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Candido Piedra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jenson Smith ran back to his position shaking his head. 86 minutes into the match, Altermundi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jenson Smith came free, but Candido Piedra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Sam Campbell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of Altermundi FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as USA had held the ball for most of the match.
