Fergus Fairbairn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Finlay Stair in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Gilespie in the 7th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angus Howison in the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rangers FC's Ronan McLaws got a free kick in the 9th minute. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Gilespie in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Jamaica booed when Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darius Bontine didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Finlay Stair got free with Fergus Fairbairn in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Gilespie in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius Bontine in the 25th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demonde Jacobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angus Howison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Gilespie in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angus Howison in the 31st minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Finlay Stair struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Fergus Fairbairn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamaica. After some careless play in the Jamaica defense, Bradley Carr kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demonde Jacobson. The Jamaica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demonde Jacobson should have stopped the shot. After having played for 38 minutes, Finlay Stair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamaica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Finlay Stair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 41 minutes into the game, when Geroy Ascue put in a rough tackle. 40 minutes into the game, one of Jamaica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Gilespie in the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Danny Gilespie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fergus Fairbairn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leron Sale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Danny Gilespie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angus Howison in the 61st minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Karlus Waugh hit a great ball. Karlus Waugh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Fergus Fairbairn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Angus Howison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Romon Oliver fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jamaica's protests and gave Romon Oliver a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Romon Oliver. Tim Charles hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When Tim Charles fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rangers FC's protests and gave Tim Charles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, one of Rangers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rangers FC. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Gilespie in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rangers FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
