Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joesph Dalton, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Miromir Czeszejko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 19th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Miromir Czeszejko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montes in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of El Lobo's Miromir Czeszejko. Miromir Czeszejko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Ekhi in the 26th minute of play. El Lobo's Ulises Berdaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Joesph Dalton made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ceferino Ekhi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd match minute, El Lobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Coleira to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miromir Czeszejko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when El Lobo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Berdaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miromir Czeszejko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miromir Czeszejko came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miromir Czeszejko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 88th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that El Lobo's Miromir Czeszejko managed to reach the ball for a save. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
