The supporters of Ecuador booed when Sundens BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Gernberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Axel Martinsson was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Axel Martinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of the match. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jan-Ove Lindmark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Axel Martinsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute of play forced Sundens BK's goalkeeper Axel Martinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes Sundens BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. 58 minutes into the game, Jan-Ove Lindmark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sundens BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Sundens BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. In the 71st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Martinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 77 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Per Eliasson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 2-1. Camilo Gisbert's late challenge caught a Sundens BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Instead of passing the ball, Jan-Ove Lindmark made a really hard long shot towards goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera realized he got lucky when he saw the ball passing the outside of the left post. Gert Wickander hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Axel Martinsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 98 minutes into the match, Sundens BK's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Axel Martinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ecuador had played much better football throughout.
