Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Wanjohi, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. But to his dismay, Charles Wambui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Wambui in the 44th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Kimutai took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. Disappointed in the 0-10 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Myles Khayeshe in the 53rd minute of play. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Wambui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Barrett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but James Wanjiru showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 56 minute of play.
