Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Ramone got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Ramone in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kamer Hammer got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game was made by Saul Galtero with Kamer Hammer as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Maarek Ratas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Abelardo Fonso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 27 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. Söncke Gärtner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Maarek Ratas kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Söncke Gärtner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Söncke Gärtner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After 39 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. 41 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Maarek Ratas came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Gioiese Calcio's Maarek Ratas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Gioiese Calcio's Orlando Igon got a free kick in the 45th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Kamer Hammer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute of the game Orlando Igon made a throw-in which Arnulfo Savier played forward. In the 66th minute Gerardo Ramone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saul Galtero kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Gioiese Calcio's goalkeeper Söncke Gärtner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. When Gioiese Calcio's Maarek Ratas in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas's late challenge caught a Gioiese Calcio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Illescas helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maarek Ratas in the 85th minute of play. After 88 played minutes, Gioiese Calcio's Arnulfo Savier shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gioiese Calcio reached it. Joshua Secada hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
