Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when İbrahim Efe Akarsu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 3-1. Gong Ying Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gong Ying Zheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If İbrahim Efe Akarsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gong Ying Zheng was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

With an all-out effort, Colombia's Gong Ying Zheng threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abram Sarmiento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gong Ying Zheng came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Abram Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Abram Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. In the 59th minute of the match, Abram Sarmiento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gong Ying Zheng saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Gong Ying Zheng in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Ying Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia made a substitution. Gong Ying Zheng was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Abram Secada capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abram Secada really showed his touch with that goal: 4-3. VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 83rd minute of play.
