After 37 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. 39 minutes into the match, 乔战光 notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that 乔战光's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 45th minute, 方坚斐 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute 乔战光 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 乔战光 was the one to do the kick off. 乔战光 might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Axel Tasis helped the player get up and apologised. 四川炁's 龚桑竞 was substituted for Joost Baatenburg. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. After 66 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. 70 minutes into the game, 乔战光 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute 四川炁 were awarded a corner. Boris Josefsson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to 四川炁's 乔战光 getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, 石国庭 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 88 minutes into the game, 乔战光 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. 乔战光 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by 乔战光 in the 93rd minute. When the match was over 四川炁 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
