All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Gilberto Eleazar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Inocencio Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Inocencio Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Volvimos mejores's goalkeeper Samuel Asteri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Inocencio Valente took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Alejandro Avellaneda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Lima in the 94th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Volvimos mejores had played much better football throughout.
