Johnnie Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when UE Sant Julià was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calum Sissons didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johnnie Dobson skillfully saved the ball. Johnnie Dobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of the match. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edinson Cavani went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Perry Swanson. In the 30th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnnie Dobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Edinson Cavani notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 37 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johnnie Dobson was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Perry Swanson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Edinson Cavani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Edinson Cavani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Perry Swanson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Johnnie Dobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute. UE Sant Julià's Johnnie Dobson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save UE Sant Julià from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 64th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinson Cavani in the 66th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, UE Sant Julià's Edinson Cavani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. The supporters of Ecuador booed when UE Sant Julià was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ke Rong Zhen didn't get a good kick on the ball. UE Sant Julià made a substitution. Joe Argent replaced Ke Rong Zhen. Ke Rong Zhen kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a little luck, UE Sant Julià's Johnnie Dobson got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perry Swanson in the 79th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Perry Swanson in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Perry Swanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 minutes, Perry Swanson made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The UE Sant Julià support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
