Afonso Mourato came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Afonso Mourato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th match minute, Lofi Girl Portimao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Esparteiro to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Cristian Sancho could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Afonso Mourato however easily saved by the left post. In the 30th match minute, Lofi Girl Portimao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Brás to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Afonso Mourato was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Afonso Mourato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of the match. Nuno Porto hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 56 minutes Lofi Girl Portimao's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Felix Montenegro to score against Afonso Mourato in Lofi Girl Portimao's goal. 3-0 after 57 minutes. Lofi Girl Portimao's Alcides Porto was substituted for Januário Sá. Lofi Girl Portimao's Ramiro Medeiros was substituted for Israel Brás. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 63rd minute of play forced Lofi Girl Portimao's goalkeeper Afonso Mourato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Porto got free with Julio Vera in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lofi Girl Portimao's Ramiro Medeiros shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Julio Vera but with some difficulty. Afonso Mourato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Mourato was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Melo. After 79 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alcides Porto who took care of the corner kick. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Porto in the 88th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Nuno Porto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Porto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The supporters of Lofi Girl Portimao booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lofi Girl Portimao's Afonso Mourato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
