Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) MONTANHA's Wei Guang Xing started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the game Murillo Martins made a throw-in which Teodoro Peres played forward. A collision led to MONTANHA getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Roger Guerra hit a great ball. Andres van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Cardozo got free with Dante Lacasa in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 17th match minute, MONTANHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Wei Guang Xing sent off a good shot on target. After 22 played minutes MONTANHA got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Cardozo. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andres van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Mancebo in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andres van der Sar saved MONTANHA from getting behind. 39 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Wei Guang Xing came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MONTANHA's Andres van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of MONTANHA booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tafalla scored 0-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andres van der Sar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of MONTANHA booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Cardozo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dante Lacasa. Mexico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. MONTANHA's Andres van der Sar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save MONTANHA from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Andres van der Sar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Cardozo in the 71st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71stth minute of the game Wei Guang Xing who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 74 minutes into the match, MONTANHA's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Andres van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Czeslaw Walec went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. With 87 minutes on the clock, Luca Rouco commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! 96 minutes into the game, Luca Zorita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MONTANHA the free kick. The supporters of MONTANHA booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. MONTANHA had won after a very even match.
