He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Nélson Bezerra hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, AD Pontassolense's Renato Alves got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Club 23 were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Arthur Branco made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Jesualdo Maltez managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Club 23's Cássio Dracena fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 56th minute, Club 23's Cássio Dracena dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Jesualdo Maltez made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Cássio Dracena sent off a good shot on target. Jesualdo Maltez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Bogdanović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AD Pontassolense's Jesualdo Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Volodya Kirov in the 62nd minute of play. AD Pontassolense's Jesualdo Maltez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save AD Pontassolense from getting a goal against them.
