In the 7thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Annscroft's Abdallah Ali Maina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Luca Espinar struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Abdallah Ali Maina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. After taking down the ball on Annscroft's corner Jonathan Onyii fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. In the 15th minute, Fred Kariuki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Honduras's attentive Esteban Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Matthew Korir made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. Edmundo Espiga made a great header on Honduras's corner, it was just that Annscroft's Abdallah Ali Maina managed to reach the ball for a save. Matthew Korir hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 24th minute of play forced Annscroft's goalkeeper Abdallah Ali Maina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Jonathan Onyii reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lautaro Navarro. The goal made the score 1-0. After 33 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Moises Tafalla. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Kariuki, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 41 minutes, Fred Kariuki made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fred Kariuki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fred Kariuki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 54 played minutes Annscroft got a freekick which was hit by Paul Leakey. In the 56th minute Fred Rutto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Kariuki in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Annscroft were furious when Mike Sarun was red carded, 62 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Annscroft:s Abdallah Ali Maina showed great skill when he stopped Edmundo Espiga:s penalty. In the 63rd minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abdallah Ali Maina was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Annscroft's Abdallah Ali Maina got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, Fred Rutto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fred Rutto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Onyii, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Annscroft booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Carvallo's late challenge caught a Annscroft's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteban Carvallo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. If Fred Rutto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Jonathan Onyii stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Jonathan Onyii tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
