The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilson do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luiz Guilherme Varela scored 1-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nilson do Vale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Bandelocos from getting a goal against them. 63 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Sobis in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute Rafael Sobis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Nilson do Vale made a huge save. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match.
