Tolis Prinianakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of the match. Tolis Prinianakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, GREEN LIONS's Ödön Grill got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tolis Prinianakis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tolis Prinianakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Calisto Flayre showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. Calisto Flayre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play forced GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Tolis Prinianakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolis Prinianakis having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Faruk Nafiz Yadigar during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes GREEN LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Faruk Nafiz Yadigar. In the 25th match minute, GREEN LIONS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ödön Grill to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tolis Prinianakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of the match. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 37th minute. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Calisto Flayre took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. After 44 played minutes GREEN LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Ödön Grill. The supporters of Ecuador booed when GREEN LIONS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ödön Grill didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, GREEN LIONS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Tolis Prinianakis made a huge save. Tolis Prinianakis made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Tolis Prinianakis in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tolis Prinianakis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The corner led GREEN LIONS's Nikos Kouzoulakis to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tolis Prinianakis made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Calisto Flayre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 78th minute Merexildo Raimundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. A collision led to GREEN LIONS getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ödön Grill hit a great ball. Tolis Prinianakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolis Prinianakis having to interfere. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but GREEN LIONS were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
